The materials used are often heavy and strong, and must be firmly held down to the surface of the cutting table by a strong vacuum system so that the cutting blade does not cause the material to bunch or roll. Our vacuum tables are powerful enough that up to eight layers can be cut simultaneously with a blade, greatly increasing production rates. Laser cutting heads, usually in the range of 240 watts are also used in this industry as they can seal the edges of some of the synthetic materials. |

BW Cutters manufacture a range of flatbed cutting machines that are precisely designed for the exacting task of cutting complex shapes in kevlar reinforced fabric, heavy canvas, woven nylon and vulcanized rubber materials and laminates that are used in the flexible roofing industry. These machines are required to be able to cut very large panels from a single bolt of the cloth, and maintain a high level of precision so that the stretched structure does not contain any surface stress lines or wrinkles.
