The Mastercut 2200 Recipro and Laser are the latest versions of our popular heavy duty, Mastercut flatbed cutting platform. Powerful, adaptable and reliable, equipped with any of the wide range of tool heads that we offer, this machine has been delivering sterling performance for clients all over the world.

Our most powerful, and most sophisticated flatbed cutting machines, are the Mastercut 2200, Mastercut Recipro and Mastercut Laser. The most powerful and durable models in our line-up, they are designed to handle the most arduous cutting environments, and have repeatedly justified their heavy duty reputation in the toughest conditions found in the field of industrial cutting.

Changes to the Mastercut cutting head have increased its power and durability, so that this cutter is ready to tackle one of the toughest and daunting tasks in the flatbed cutting world... it is the undisputed champion in the Polycarbonate cutting industry,

easily cutting complicated shapes in structured polycarbonate sheets that are up to 40mm thick. Used in the manufacturing of outside conservatories and industrial roofing, this cutting task had proved to be difficult and destructive to the cutting machines that had been adapted to the process. The power and ruggedness of the Mastercut 2200 enables it to excel at this task. It is engineered with such rigidity and torsional strength, that it can perform these herculean tasks day after day in the demanding industrial conditions of multi-shift work days, with a remarkably low level of maintenance and exceptional reliability.

MASTERCUT RECIPRO

With its innovative self steering Reciprocating blade the Mastercut Recipro achieves the difficult task of cutting a wide range of heavy duty materials that have at times proven to be too tough for fixed blade cutters. Designed by John White the head senses forces on the blade in action and adjusts it to counter any lateral movement thus keeping the cut straight and accurate. Applications for this new cutting system include the cutting of; custom carpeting, sports flooring, astroturf, vehicle carpeting, swimming pool liners, thick rubber stencils, expanded polystyrene sheets, kevlar woven fabrics, acoustic foam and multi layers of felt.

MASTERCUT LASER

BW Cutters have been manufacturing laser cutting for the technical textile industry for over twenty years and still have customers using their original cutters, it was BW Cutters introduced laser cutting into this industry sector.

The Mastercut platform carries our heavy duty 200watt powered laser unit and one important factor in any Laser Cutting machine is the Laser unit itself the quality and reliability of this is critical and we offer the most efficient unit within a lighter mass than alternative manufacturers. This enables us to carry the unit on the gantry with no reduction in speed and movement. The fact that we carry the unit horizontally on the gantry then allows us to deliver the beam to the material in the best and most efficient way with the minimum distance between the unit and cutting point meaning that the beam length is as short as possible.

Our latest software development for the Mastercut 2200 & Mastercut Recipro allows them to be controlled from a remote location by any suitably equipped Palm (tm). With this remote access an operator can now communicate directly to the control unit on the cutting beam and issue the instructions that allow an operator to control the entire production process from virtually anywhere. The image below shows one of our production units being tested prior to disassembly and shipping.

Laser Table Measurement

Using the BW Cutters laser table measuring system, which creates a topographical map of the cutting surface down to differences of a fraction of a millimetre, we are able to feed data to the head and control the blade pressure at the optimum level maintaining contact but eradicating any excessive force.
