Vacuum pump type; Double flow, side channel vacuum pump.
Vacuum distribution; Vacuum supply to the cutting table will be uniformly distributed throughout all of the constituent table sections. Areas of the table surface not covered by material to be cut must be suitably masked.
Reverse Blow Facility; Positive air pressure at the table face during loading and unloading provides lift to the material.
Vacuum / blow Control; By foot control.

2 COMPUTER CONTROL SYSTEM

All cutting movements are controlled via an RS 232 serial link from a host computer. An onboard motion control computer, using an exceptionally fast servo control card, manages the data supplied from the host computer, directing the cutting head to reproduce the shapes designed. The MasterCut is supplied with power from a transformer housed in a free-standing cabinet.

3 SAFETY SYSTEM

The Machine is CE Certified.

· Class 3 guarding is achieved by means of rubber bump stop strips mounted on vertical outriggers projecting 300mm outward, along the table length, from each vertical corner of the gantry guard. Any person contacting these stops will suspend all machine motion.

· 7 emergency shut off buttons are provided.

a) One on each end of the tool carriage.
b) One on the central control console.
c) One at each corner of the cutting table.
Manual triggering of any stop suspends all machine motion.
· The machine operator, stationed at the centrally mounted control console, has a full view of the machine. No initiation of an automated operating sequence can commence, or recommence after the operation bump stops or emergency shut off buttons, without sanction by the operator.
Operator training, supplied with all new machines, will include a full review of the above safety systems, which will also be documented in the English language machine manual.
