AUTOMOTIVE

ImageWith growing demands of the automotive world to reduce costs and fuel consumption by reducing weight the introduction of new innovative composite materials is becoming more and more important, again BWCutters are in the vanguard of this movement,

Carbon fibre and aramid fibre materials such as Kevlar are increasingly being used for body panels from domestic cars right through to formula one racing teams.Image

No less important in the automotive industry of today is safety and once again BWCutters machines have been cutting automotive airbags for many years.

Airbags are made of a tough synthetic material, most commonly a woven nylon fabric called Nylon 66. This can be cut by a conventional fixed blade system, but for high production rates and long-term low-maintenance, the Mastercut Laser or Genesis Laser are most suitable.
Add to this the carpets, upholstery and internal acoustic panelling and it becomes clear our cutting machines are perfect for the automotive industry.
